I think it’s incredibly important to know where our food comes from and get to appreciate the incredible hard work it takes to grow such beautiful local food. I thought, why not try it for one summer....and several summers later we are signed up again for another season. The bins are good value, very fresh, high quality and a nice variety. Hayley and Rick and their farm really are Saskatchewan gems. If you enjoy fresh, local produce we can’t recommend Heliotrope enough.”

“I have been a regular patron of Heliotrope since our kids were little, but I just recently decided to get the bin service. The quality of the veggies is excellent, and the amount is actually more than I expected considering the price of food these days. I love to cook and the quality of food is perfect. For the three of us, the bountiful bin has been almost enough for two weeks. This year I will be getting the bountiful bin every week so I can preserve some for the winter. Eating locally grown organic food makes me happy. I would and do definitely recommend the bin to others. You won’t be disappointed! 10/10”

“We’ve been using Heliotrope Organic Farm’s bin service for quite a few years now, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. The product is always fresh, seasonal, and comes with a variety of delicious pickings. One thing we’ve really appreciated is how flexible they’ve been over the years. As our family grew, changed, and now has gotten a little smaller, we’ve always had options that work for our household, whether that meant changing bin sizes or pickup frequency.

We’re lucky to live close to the pickup location, and every visit feels welcoming. Hayley and Rick are genuinely kind people who always make time to say hello and make you feel part of the community. Even if you run into them after hours, they’re still the same warm, friendly people.

We recommend starting small and seeing how it fits your lifestyle and schedule, but with busy summers you never have to worry about taking time for yourself, as they provide the opportunity to cancel your bin for the week with sufficient notice.

“What has your experience been like over all with Heliotrope bin service?
We have participated in the bin service for many years. We have never been disappointed in the quality of the vegetables or the quality. Fresh, variety, and of course organic and high quality.
What do you love about the seasonal bins?
We love the surprise when we unpack and plan our menus for the next two weeks. Sometimes there are new items we have never tried but always the dependability of regular veg as well.
Rick and Halley are also reliable in delivery times and great communicators if there is a change
As we age and are phasing out our own garden it is a wonderful opportunity to get the range and freshness we would be missing.
Going to the Farmers Market to get items there is an option but not always easy to accommodate.
